Scheduling Of Hearings

(Amends Code of Civil Procedure 116.330, 116.340, and 116.780)

The law used to allow the Court to set hearings based on several different time periods.

This new law requires the Court to schedule a hearing on all cases within 20 to 70 days from the date they are filed.

This law also requires that proof of service be filed with the Court at least 5 calendar days before the hearing date.
