Sex Offenders:

Sellers and landlords must include the sex offenders website on sale and rental contracts (Civil Code 2079.10; Health And Safety Code Section 1522.01)

Effective April 1, 2006

This law requires real property sellers and landlords to include in the sales contract or rental agreement a notice of the Department of Justice’s sex offenders website.

Action: DCA’s Real Estate Fraud Unit takes complaints from homeowners and tenants whose sales contract or rental agreement does not include the sex offenders website.

May be reprinted for non-commercial use if a credit line is included acknowledging the County of Los Angeles Department of Consumer Affairs.
