WAGES – DEDUCTIONS FOR IMMIGRATION COSTS PROHIBITED

AB 1278, Civil Code 1670.7, Penal Code 784.8

This new law voids provisions in contracts that allow for the deduction of a person’s wages to pay for the cost of emigrating or transporting the person to the United States.
